While Gingr doesn't currently offer a native app for the business side, you can easily add the website icon to the home screen of your mobile device. Given how much we depend on our smartphones and tablets, having a Gingr icon on your iPhone or Android home screen lets you launch it with a single tap, just like a native app. Plus, it doesn't take up any extra storage space on your device.

How to: Add a shortcut to your iPhone

  1. Launch the Google Chrome app on your iPhone or iPad and navigate to the URL of the website you want to create a shortcut to. Example: https://businessname.gingrapp.com

  2. In the top search bar, select the 'share' icon, it normally resembles an arrow coming out of a box.

  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”.

  4. Customize the name of the icon using the on-screen keyboard if desired. 

  5. Tap "Add" in the top-right corner.

  6. Chrome will close automatically and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your home screen.

How to: Add a shortcut to your Android

  1. Launch the Google Chrome app on your Android device and navigate to the URL of the website you want to create a shortcut to. Example: https://businessname.gingrapp.com

  2. Tap the menu icon (3 dots in the upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to home screen.

  3. Enter a name for the shortcut then select 'Add'

  4. Chrome will then add it to your home screen.
