Introduction
This article goes over tips and tricks on how to use the various note functions within Gingr. There are many types of notes within Gingr that link to different places and are sometimes visible to clients. Please be sure you are aware of all Note Types, and who those notes are visible to.
Employee Notes
These notes are for internal use only and are not visible to clients. Staff can use this field to record important details or observations about the pet or the service provided. For example, if a pet has specific grooming requirements or if there were any issues during the service, these notes can be categorized as 'Grooming Notes.'
Service Notes
These notes are input by customers during the booking process through the customer portal or employees when booking through the business side. The information in this field is visible to both the customers and the staff. It is typically used for customers to provide specific instructions or preferences for their pet's grooming service. These are attached to the service and if the appointment is confirmed, will appear in the Appointment Card on the date the service is scheduled.
Reservation Form - Grooming Notes
Reservation notes can be used to provide additional information related to specific reservations, ensuring staff are informed about any special requirements or instructions. These notes can be seen by clients. It is recommended to disable or hide these notes from clients on grooming reservation types to reduce confusion and redundancy
Animal Form - Grooming Notes/Instructions
These notes are added when setting up the pet's profile and are attached to the animal's record. They are visible to clients but can be hidden from the form if necessary. ‘Grooming notes/instructions’ on the animal form are useful for providing ongoing instructions or important information about the pet’s grooming needs that need to be referenced during each visit. Typically, the Pet Owner will fill this out when registering for their Gingr Account.
