Overview: What are we talking about?
This article shows you how to take payment for a customer's outstanding balance, both while checking the customer out for their pet's reservation and without checking out a reservation.
If you want to take payment for an outstanding balance and are not checking the customer out for any reservations:

Step 1: View balance
- First, add the pet's reservation to the cart from the dashboard, as you would with any other checkout
- Once in the cart, you'll see that the customer's outstanding balance is displayed in red.
- Click the red $ sign to add the entire balance to the cart.
-The outstanding balance ("previous balance") is added to the cart as a line item.
-The amount you typed into the field is added to the cart as a line item and the remainder of the customer's outstanding balance remains on their account.
Step 3: Checkout
At this point, you may add more items to the checkout or proceed to taking payment by clicking the Check Out button.
