Overview: What are we talking about?
After going through the setup check list. it's important to make sure that everything is working the way that it should. The best way to do so is to create test reservations and scenarios (if you haven't already) to make sure all items are set up correctly within the app. It's best to run Gingr parallel to current system while testing to make sure all actions can be completed and all set up items are correct. This is the most important step because it proves that Gingr is set up correctly.
2. Staff Training
- Review training videos
- Get comfortable with completing all actions relevant to your business.
This is of course necessary for helping your staff get used to using the system. This includes things like checking in/out, refunding reservations, taking payment, editing reservations...etc. Again, having staff try to use Gingr for day-to-day real time reservations will show that they are comfortable and proficient in the software. This will also help find any system errors or confusion with set up items. If you feel like your staff is comfortable using the system, then you're good to go here as well!
3. Credit Card Processing
It's very important to get started on this process early to ensure you can take credit cards on the day you go live.
Data imports are only done once steps 1, 2 and 3 are completed. You will need to Review your data import options, choose an option, and sign the import agreement in order to get this process started. This should be done after all above steps have been completed.
