Overview: What are we talking about?
The Incident Reports feature allows you to keep a record of any incidents that may occur involving a specific animal. These reports will attach to an Animal's Profile, informing you if they have engaged in any bad behavior in the past, helping you make good boarding and handling decisions.

Helpful Hints: Before you begin.
- If a pet has had incident(s), you will see a red exclamation point icon in most places their name appears in the app.
How to: Use Incident Reports.
Viewing Incident Reports
- Navigate to either the Animal Profile page, or the Reservation Details page by
- Clicking on the red exclamation point icon beside the animal's name, or click on the animal's name...
- ...or navigate to the Reservation Details page (from Dashboard, Facility Calendar, etc.) by clicking on the reservation name in the Type column.
- Clicking on the red exclamation point icon beside the animal's name, or click on the animal's name...
- Click on the Incidents tab. If an animal has had an incident(s) the tab will be highlighted red with (#) indicating how many incidents have been recorded.
- View the complete list of incidents for this animal.
Where to Create Incident Reports
Any Gingr user has the ability to create a new incident report. The New Incident Report Page can be accessed from several places:
- Dashboard (Checked In and Going Home Today sections)
- Animal Profile Page
- Reservations Page
- Next to the animal's name, click the Actions menu.
- Select New Incident.
From the Animal's profile page:
- Click on animal's Name anywhere in the app to navigate to their profile page.
- Click on Incidents Tab.
- Click Add Incident.
From the Reservations Page:
- Navigate to Reservations page by clicking on the reservation name.
- Select the Incidents tab.
- Click Add Incident.
Create an Incident Report
Any of the above avenues will bring you to the incidents page. Follow these easy steps to create an incident report:
- Choose an Animal by typing in the name of the pet involved in the incident.
- Choose a Location from the drop-down.
- Choose an Incident Type from the drop-down.
- Complete the remainder of the form.
- Click Create Incident.
Edit an Incident
If you need to modify or update an incident for any reason, you have the ability to do so by following these steps:
- Navigate to the Animal's Profile page.
- Click on the Incidents tab.
- Click Edit Incident.
- Make changes as desired.
- Click Save Incident.
Delete an Incident
With the right permissions, you can also delete an incident.
- Navigate to the Animal's Profile page.
- Click on the Incidents tab (as shown above).
- Click Delete Incident.
- A pop up window will ask you to confirm.
Incident Types
Your app comes pre-populated with some common incident types. Things like Fight, Escape Attempt, Aggressive Behavior, etc. You have the ability to modify these to fit your business.
Edit Incident Types:
- Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Incidents.
- Use the Pencil Icon button to Edit.
- Click the Status toggle to turn the incident type on or off.
Add Incident Types:
- Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Incidents.
- Click the +Add button.
- Name the new incident Type.
- Display Order is optional. This number allows you to customize where this incident shows up on a list. (e.g. entering the number 5 would mean that this incident will be 5th on the list in a drop-down menu).
- Save your new incident type.

FAQ
How can I be notified of a new incident report?
You can configure user groups to receive a notification when incident reports are created. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Reports & More » Groups and turn on the Notification: New Incident Report permission.

- This permission can be local to only locations where the incident happened or can be global, meaning a notification will display at all locations when an incident report is made, regardless of the location.
