Overview: What are we talking about?

In this article, we will cover how you delete a Reservation Type or Service. Before deleting a Reservation Type or Service to create a new one, remember that you can simply edit an existing one.

Helpful Hint: Before you begin.

  • Important! If a Reservation Type or Service is deleted while a pet that is checked in under that Reservation Type, or has the Service scheduled for their stay, you will be unable to check the pet out.

 

 

How to: Delete a Reservation Type or Service.

  1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Reservation Types and Services Configuration. Select the applicable Booking Category, locate the Reservation Type or Service you would like to delete, and click 'Edit Settings' to edit that Reservation Type or Service.

  2. On the Edit Reservation Type or Service setup page, under the 'Advance Settings' section,  toggle the Delete (remove all past records) option to Yes/On.

    PLEASE READ: Deleting a reservation type has many consequences throughout the app.

    Be sure to change the type for any reservations that are currently checked in prior to deleting this.

    Reservations of this type will no longer be visible throughout the app (excluding reports).

    Future reservations of this type will not be able to be checked in.

    THE SUPPORT TEAM CANNOT UN-DELETE THINGS. BE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING BEFORE PROCEEDING. IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, CONTACT SUPPORT BEFORE DELETING ANYTHING!

  3. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.


 

Restoring a Reservation Type or Service
 
If you have deleted a Reservation Type or Service in error by using this method, you will have to recreate the Reservation Type or Service as it will no longer be accessible from the backend.
