Setting Up Retail Items

Overview: What are we talking about?

In Gingr, you can input your retail items so that they can be sold alongside your reservations and services.

Helpful Hints: Before you begin.

• Before you get started, take a moment determine which retail items you want to input into Gingr. During this setup, we will show you how to import your retail items by filling out an Excel Spreadsheet.

Set it Up: Let's get started.  

We will only be covering the settings that you should configure for this topic. If you see a setting that is not listed, please leave it set to its default setting.

Step 1: Complete the Import Template

1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Retail.
   
   
2. Click Import New Retail Items at the top of the page.
   
   
3. Click to download the import template.
   
   
4. Open and complete the import template in Microsoft Excel.
   
   
   • If you have any questions about how to fill out your retail import template, please reach out to your onboarding specialist. Only fill out the Image URL column if you have a direct web address. We will update images in step 2.
     
     
5. Save your import file once you are finished updating it.
   
   
6. Click Choose File and select your import file to upload it.
   
   
7. All Locations?: Select this box if you want to import your retail items to all locations; otherwise it will only upload to the location you are currently logged into.
   
   
8. Click Import.

Step 2: Configuring Images and customer portal settings (optional)

1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Retail.
   
   
2. Edit any items that you want to upload an image for or make available for sale online.
   
   
3. Upload the image of the retail item from your computer.
   
   
   • You must first have the image saved to your computer before it can be uploaded. Uploading an image to Gingr will display that image to customers.
     
     
4. Show to Customers: Select whether you want this item to be available for sale on the customer portal.
   
   
5. Save your changes and go back a page.
