Overview: What are we talking about?
In Gingr, you can customize the abilities that customers have on the customer portal through certain system-wide settings. This article will guide you through how to customize those system-wide settings.
Helpful Hints: Before you begin.
- Before you get started, take a moment to think about how much you want to enable to limit your customers on the customer portal. Do you want to always allow customers to submit reservation requests if you’re over capacity so that you can waitlist or follow up with them? Do you want customers to be able to submit reservation requests if their animal’s immunizations will be out of date during the reservation? Review the settings below and configure the settings according to their descriptions.
Set it Up: Let's get started.
Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Customer Interaction Settings.
|Allow customers add to wait list
|Allow customers to add reservations to the waitlist if your location is at/overcapacity.
|Allow customers create options forms
|Allows customers to create a new breed record when creating/editing their pet's profiles. New breed records display to all customers.
|Allow new customer registrations
|Should new customers be able to register online?
|Allow same day reservation requests
|Allow customers to request reservations on the same day that they should start.
|Customers can enter weight
|Allow customers to see/edit animal weights when editing animal details.
|Next day reservation request cutoff
|Prevent customers from requesting reservations for tomorrow after this time, entered in 24-hour format.
|Override new customer registration password
|Require new customers to enter this password before they can register online.
|Owner files default visible to customers
|If enabled, uploaded files on a customer's account will be visible to them on the customer portal by default.
