Service Request Links (Legacy)

Overview: What are we talking about?

In Gingr, customers can request reservations from the customer portal. When requesting services, customers will first be presented with a pop-up message asking them if they want to request a reservation, appointment, or group class. You can customize which of those three options appear depending on the services you offer.

Helpful Hints: Before you begin.

  • Before you get started, ensure that you have first set up all of your reservation types. Think about which reservation types you offer are appointment based or not.

  • Service Request Links can link to three places:

    • New Reservation Page: this page is used for multi-day or single day reservations that are not appointment based (e.g. boarding and daycare).

    • New Appointment Page: this page is used for single day reservations that are appointment based (e.g. grooming and training).

    • Group Class Enrollment Page: this page is used to show all of your group classes and to allow customers to enroll.

  4. Edit each of the service request links that applies to your business and customize the following fields:

    • Title: Enter a brief title to indicate what types of reservations they can request by clicking this link.

    • Description: Enter a brief description of the types of services that the customer can request by following this link.

    • Button Text: Optionally customize the text that appears within the button that the customer will click to be taken to the corresponding page.

    • Button URL: Optionally enter the page that the link should take the customer to. You should not need to edit this field.

      • Only enter the portion of the URL that comes after “gingrapp.com”. For example, the link for the New Reservation page is https://www.businessname.gingrapp.com/front_end/reservations/add meaning you would only enter “/front_end/reservations/add” into the button URL field.

  5. Save your changes and go back one page.

  6. Delete any reservation request links for services that you do not offer by selecting them from the list and clicking the “delete” button that appears at the top of the list.
