How do I Submit Feature Feedback?

Overview: What are we talking about?

Have an idea for Gingr? We love hearing about how we could make Gingr even better for your business! We deeply value your input and are constantly looking to improve our software to make it the very best it can be. One of the ways we determine what businesses need most in the software is through our Feature Feedback Platform.

If you have an idea about something that you’d like to see in Gingr, submit it as an idea and let us know how important the idea is to you and your business. Our product team reviews all submitted ideas, groups them with similar ideas, and monitors the volume of ideas within each group. With this insight, they can draft potential new features and publish them in the portal to receive feedback, including images and mockups. Providing feedback in this forum is a great way to let us know what features and functionality are most important to you and your business.

With the Feature Feedback platform, you are able to:

• Submit feature feedback directly in Gingr.
• View existing feature feedback from other Gingr users.
• Rank the feature feedback you care most about to show your support.
• View the status of an existing request as it progresses through the stages of Under Consideration to being Launched. 
• Receive updates as we work on features you submitted or voted for.

Helpful Hints: Before you begin.

• In September 2023, we updated our Feature Feedback Platform. Everything will be neatly sorted into sections related to our Gingr product, so you can find what you're looking for effortlessly.
  
  
• Important! Once your request is submitted, you may not see it right away. Before your idea populates on the board, it gets sent directly to our Product team for review. We will be reviewing all submissions, reducing duplicates, uncovering support opportunities, and ensuring your requests are enriched with valuable insights.
  
  

How To: Search For A Request

We encourage you to take a look at the existing ideas using the different tabs, sub-sections, or search bar. Once you find a request similar to what you are looking for, you can add a rank to show your support!

1. Navigate to the '?' icon in the upper right corner of your app » Feature Feedback
   
   
   
   
2. Using the Search Bar, start typing a few keywords that sum up your thoughts. Our platform will automatically suggest posts that relate. 

You will be able to know exactly what we are working on and check out the status of these ideas utilizing the tabs for Under Consideration, Planned, In Progress, and Launched. 

How To: Show Your Support On Existing Feature Requests

Your voice matters! Let us know how important a new feature or enhancement is to you by ranking it as 'Not Important,' 'Nice-to-Have,' 'Important,' or 'Critical.'

• Not Important: While this may be helpful, it doesn't help us meet our needs. 
• Nice-To-Have: This may be cool, convenient, or useful. 
• Important: This would solve a major problem.
• Critical: Without it, we would consider switching to another product. 

How To: Submit A New Feature Request

1. Navigate to the '?' icon in the upper right corner of your app » Feature Feedback
   
2. Select the '+Submit Idea' button to begin.
   
   
3. Add a quick sentence or two about the functionality you are picturing to get the ball rolling and bring up the idea! Be sure to use specific keywords such as Facility Calendar, End Of Day Report, etc... This will help other businesses find your idea more easily.
   
   
4. Let us know how important a new feature or enhancement is to you by ranking it:
   • Not Important: While this may be helpful, it doesn't help us meet our needs. 
   • Nice-To-Have: This may be cool, convenient, or useful. 
   • Important: This would solve a major problem.
   • Critical: Without it, we would consider switching to another product. 
     
     
5. Once you have added your idea and added a rating, use the blue 'Submit' button.
