Overview: Use this report to generate data on all point of sale items sold during a given date range.

Report Parameters:
Navigate to Book Icon » Reports » Point of Sale Report. Fill out the fields according to the parameters below:
Setting | Description | Helpful Hints |
From | Choose a starting date to see items sold starting at or after this date. | |
To | Choose an ending date to see items sold prior to or on at this date. | |
Export to Excel? | Select this option if you want to export and download the report’s data to an excel file. | You can also print or export this report as a PDF by generating the report and clicking the green "Print to PDF" button below. |
Report Output:
Retail Items - This section includes the total number of retail items sold within the selected date range.
- Item - Can click the "View Item" button to navigate to a page with more in-depth transaction history of the item in question.
- Description - Displays the name of the Retail Item.
- # Items Sold - Displays the number of items sold during the specified date range.
- Average Sale Price - Displays the average cost of this item during the specified date range. This output is helpful if you have recently adjusted the price of the item.
- Total Revenue - Displays the total dollar amount of all transactions for this item during the specified date range.
- Sales Tax Collected - Displays the total dollar amount of all sales tax for this item during the specified date range.
- Cost of Goods Sold - Displays the total dollar amount of the "wholesale cost" multiplied by the number of items sold during the specified date range. The "wholesale cost" can be set under each item on the Admin > Retail page.
- Net Profit - Displays the total profit based on the difference between the "Total Revenue" and "Cost of Goods Sold" columns.
Important! The table can be organized by clicking any of the column headers.
Open Line Items - This section includes the total number of open line items sold within the selected date range.
- Receipt - Can click the "View Receipt" button to navigate to the invoice where the open line item was purchased.
- Description - Displays the name of the Open Line Item and any additional details entered in the "description" box at checkout.
- Price - Displays the price of the Open Line Item entered in the "amount" box at checkout.
- Owner - Displays the owner associated with the invoice where the open line item was purchased.
- Employee - Displays the user who checked out the invoice where the open line item was purchased.
- Sales Tax Collected - Displays the total dollar amount of sales tax for this item on the invoice where the open line item was purchased.
Important! The table can be organized by clicking any of the column headers.
Exporting and Printing the Report:
To get a PDF version of this report, first, generate the report, and then click the green "Export to PDF" button at the top of the report. If you'd like to export to a CSV file, check the box "Export to Excel?" in the report parameters at the top of the page.
