Introduction

While Gingr has built in settings for opting in and out of specific types of communications, our SMS Provider Twilio uses certain keywords that will opt Pet Parents out of all SMS sent from Gingr. When an opt-out keyword is sent from a Pet Parent to a Gingr Facility, the sending number will be unsubscribed from all SMS communication from Gingr until that same number texts one of the opt-in keywords to the facility.

Opt-out Keywords

• Stop
• Stopall
• Unsubscribe
• Cancel
• Quit
• End

Opt-in Keywords

• Start
• Unstop

Helpful Hints

• You will want to avoid prompting the use of the opt-out language in your SMS Templates. For example, do not include "Reply 'cancel' to cancel your reservation" in your Reminder SMS Template.
