Overview: What are we talking about?

The Appointment Wage to Sales Report provides a breakdown of your business's financial performance as it relates to appointment revenue taken in and staff wages paid out for those services.

As part of Gingr's partnership with Joe Zuccarello, owner of Paragon Dog Grooming and an expert in business management for pet care businesses, we help connect businesses with this expert to best utilize this report and others like it. Joe can assist in setting performance goals as well as provide guidance on reaching those goals. To find out more and to get connected with Joe please click the "Talk to an Expert" button at the top of the report or visit our webpage about this partnership

Businesses that offer appointment-based services can have a hard time measuring their performance as related to the overhead involved in paying staff to perform their services. Industry experts like Joe encourage businesses to track money coming in from specific services and money being paid out for those services. In partnership with these industry experts, Gingr provides a report that allows you to generate a wage-to-sales ratio that can be used to help improve your business performance. Our goal is for you to be able to spend more time discussing strategy and less time tracking down numbers.

Optionally enter the wage per hour provided to the specialist.

If the specialist is paid hourly, multiply the Hours Worked by the specialist’s hourly wage to determine what number to input in this field (Hours Worked X Hourly Wage = Compensation)

If the specialist is paid commission, we recommend using the total commission numbers provided in the Commissions Report. For more information see our article on the Commissions Report

If an employee who is paid hourly shares responsibilities for the specialist’s appointments, we recommend inputting the total compensation of the Specialist plus the estimated or actual compensation for the hourly employee

Wage to Sales Ratio (Compensation / Revenue from Appointments) x 100 = Wage to Sales Ratio
