Set Up PrintNode (How-To)

Article Details

Summary

This article shows you how to set up the PrintNode integration so you can open your cash drawer from Gingr.

Before You Begin

Important: The printer must be connected directly to the computer where you install the PrintNode Client. Do not use a printer network or a printer shared through another device. The PrintNode Client runs in the background and needs a constant connection to the printer and the internet. If the computer is off, disconnected from the printer, or offline, PrintNode cannot send print jobs.

Steps

Request the Integration

  1. Tell Gingr Support you want the PrintNode integration. Submit a ticket through the support website or your in-app Help! page. Gingr will then:
    • Contact the owner or primary contact of your business to confirm the request.
    • Set up your subscription with your credit card on file ($75 per year, billed automatically each year).
    • Enter the required API key in your app.
    • Email you your PrintNode login information. You use it in the PrintNode app in the next step.
  2. Download the PrintNode app:
