Set Up Customer Portal Links

  1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Portal Customization.

  2. In the Customer Portal Links section, +Add or Edit (pencil icon) a customer portal link and configure the following fields:

    • Title: Enter the text that should be displayed in the dropdown list for this category. For example, "Daycare & Boarding Reservations", "Grooming and Private Training Appointments", and "Group Classes".

    • Description: Describe the types of reservations / services that can be requested when using this option. Further custom information on Requests of this category can be added under Admin » Reservation and Appointment Requests.

    • Button text: This is a leftover option from our Legacy Customer Portal and can be disregarded or made to match the Title field.

      • Button URL: There are three different types of ways to create reservations: New Reservations, New Appointments, and Group Classes. These links will mirror what is in the business portal. Enter the URL of the page that you want to link to. It is only necessary to enter the portion of the URL that would come after gingrapp.com in this field.

        • For the new reservation page, use '/front_end/reservations/add'. This page is used for multi-day or single day reservations that are not appointment based (e.g. boarding and daycare).

        • For the new appointment page, use '/front_end/appointment'. This page is used for single day reservations that are appointment based (e.g. grooming and training).

        • For the group class enrollment page, use '/front_end/group_class_register'. This page is used to show all of your group classes and to allow customers to enroll.

These are the only three options for Portal Request Links and cannot be split into further categories.
