Make a Purchase as a Pet Parent (How-To)

Overview

Pet parents can make purchases directly through the Customer Portal or Gingr for Pet Parents app. Depending on what your business has chosen to enable, customers may be able to purchase these items with a card saved on file:

  • Retail Items: Products available for in-store pickup.

  • Packages: Pre-paid punch cards for a set number of reservations.

  • Memberships: Recurring plans that automatically bill on a schedule and apply benefits such as discounts, credits, or special pricing.

  • Subscriptions: Auto-renewing packages that are billed at regular intervals.

Important: Availability of each purchase type depends on business settings. If a purchase option does not appear in the portal, it has not been enabled by the business.

Additional Notes:

  • Pet parents cannot manually apply promotions when purchasing retail items or packages in the Pet Parent Portal.
  • Membership special pricing benefits automatically apply when purchasing retail items and packages.
  • When requesting bookings, pet parents can manually apply promotions to reservation costs, and membership special pricing benefits automatically apply to eligible services.

Make a Purchase as a Pet Parent

  1. Navigate to the Customer Portal and log in as an existing customer.

  2. Navigate to Side Navigation: Shop.

  3. Click the Shop Retail button to view the available Retail Items for sale.

  4. Click the shopping cart button next to the item's price to add it to your order, and repeat for the total number of items you'd like to purchase (this number can also be adjusted in the cart).

  5. Click the shopping cart icon in the top right corner.

  6. Adjust the number of items if needed and then click blue Payment button to proceed.

  7. Check Out using a Credit Card.

  8. Once complete, the system will send the Online Order Received email if you are opted into communications and if the business has this email enabled.
