Introduction
The Agreements feature is a great way to manage your business’s legal documentation and ensure that customers have signed all required agreements.
This feature allows you to:
Create and require unique legal agreements for specific reservation types (for example, Boarding, Grooming, or Spa) or for all reservation types.
Require customers to sign previously unsigned required agreements before requesting reservations.
Assign agreements to specific locations for better tracking and compliance across multi-location businesses.
Keep a record of which customers have signed which documents, including the location of signature.
Allow customers to view which agreements they have signed at any time from their Customer Portal.

How Multi-Locations Work with Agreements
Businesses with multiple locations can manage and track agreements by location.
Assign Locations:
When creating or editing an agreement template, Admin users can assign one, multiple, or all locations. Agreements are associated with all locations by default.
Capture Location on Signature:
When an agreement is signed, Gingr automatically records the location context:
Customer Portal - Enrollment or Waivers Page: Captures the owner’s Home Location.
Customer Portal - Booking Request Workflow: Captures the Booking Location.
Business Portal - Push to Device: Captures the Business User’s Current Location.
The signed agreement record includes the location of signature along with the signer’s name, date, and IP address.
Viewing Agreements by Location:
On the Owner Profile > Agreements tab, users must select a location to view related agreements. Only agreements assigned to that location will display.
Existing Agreements:
Agreements signed before the introduction of this feature remain valid and apply to all locations. However, new signatures must be collected to record location-specific information.
Agreement Icons
Icons on the dashboard and owner or pet profiles reflect location-specific agreement status:
Red Icon: Required agreement for the booking location is unsigned.
Orange Icon: Unsigned agreement exists, but it is not required for the pet’s booking at the current location.
No Icon: All required agreements for the selected location are signed.
These icons help staff easily identify whether a pet parent has met agreement requirements for a particular site.
Location Filters in Reports
Both the Signed Agreements Report and Unsigned Agreements Report include filters for Home Location and Booking Location.
Use the Home Location filter to generate reports for pet parents registered with a specific location.
Use the Booking Location filter to generate reports for pet parents with upcoming bookings at a particular site.
Helpful Hints
You must be in the Admin group to set up or modify customer agreements.
Gingr cannot provide legal advice. Always consult with your attorney when creating or updating legal documents.
If an agreement is assigned to a reservation type, customers must sign that agreement before a reservation of that type can be created (unless overridden by a user with permission).
Important: Do not copy text from Microsoft Word and paste it into your agreement template. Word carries over code that will display i your agreement. If your agreement is in Word, save the Word document as a PDF and then copy the text from the PDF. Alternatively, copy the text from Word, then paste it into a text editing program like NotePad (PC) or TextEdit (Mac), then copy it from there and past it into Gingr.
