Overview
The Employee Notes tab on the Animal and Owner Profiles allows staff to leave internal notes, updates, or other important information about an animal or owner. Employee Notes are private to your business and are not visible to pet parents.
Tip: Hover over the pencil icon to view when the note was created or edited.
Create Employee Notes

Navigate to an Animal or Owner Profile.

Click the Employee Notes tab.

Select Create Note.

Choose the Note Type from the dropdown.
- Enter the note content and format it as needed.
Tip: You can insert images into the body of the note.
- Click Save when finished.
Each new note is automatically assigned to your current location and displays the location, note type, author, and date.
Additional Notes

The Location filter dropdown on the Employee Notes tab allows you to view notes from one or multiple locations.

The default filter is All Locations, and selecting No Location shows historical notes created before location tracking was implemented.

Users can view all notes but can only create and edit notes within their allowed locations.
