Overview
Your Employee Notes tab in the Animal and Owner profiles are where your staff can leave notes, updates or any info needed about either the animal or owner. Employee Notes are completely private to the business and will not be seen by pet parents.
Before You Begin
- All Admin users have access to the admin page that controls Employee Note settings.
- Admins can also delegate access to this page to other user groups.

Non-admin users with access can make edits that affect all locations in the app.

Employee Notes by Location
Employee Notes are assigned to the user’s current location when created.

Each note displays the location, note type, author, and date.

The Location filter dropdown allows users to view notes from one or multiple locations.

The default filter is All Locations. Selecting No Location displays historical notes created before location tracking was implemented.

Users can view notes from all locations but can create and edit notes only within their allowed locations.
Helpful Hints
- Hover over the pencil icon to view when the note was created or edited.
- To show the year in employee notes, head to Admin > Custom Configurations and enter ddd, MM/DD/YYYY, h:mm a into the Js date string format field.
