Introduction
The Reports page contains all available reports in Gingr and allows administrators to view, filter, and export data across their business. Reports help you analyze financial performance, track operational activity, and manage pets, pet parents, and reservations.
This article explains how reporting works in Gingr, including access requirements, location-based reporting behavior, and how to navigate the Reports page.
Before You Begin
Financial reports are restricted to users with the Can View Financial Reporting permission.
Reporting results in Gingr also depend on user location access. Reports display data only for locations included in the user’s Allowed Locations, and most reports require at least one location to be selected before results can be generated. If a user’s Allowed Locations are not configured correctly, reports may appear to be missing data or locations.
How Reporting Works in Gingr
Location-Based Reporting
Reports in Gingr calculate results based on selected locations rather than displaying data for all locations by default. This ensures accurate, location-specific reporting and aligns report results with user access permissions.
Each report clearly indicates the type of location it uses, such as:
Booking Location: Filters results based on the location where the reservation or appointment is scheduled to occur.
Invoice Location: Filters results based on the location assigned to the invoice, which determines where revenue and financial activity are attributed.
Spend Location: Filters results based on the location where the pet parent’s spend occurred, including purchases and charges associated with that location.
Package Purchase Location: Filters results based on the location where a package or subscription was originally purchased.
Subscription Location: Filters results based on the location associated with the subscription enrollment.
Transaction Location: Filters results based on the location where the payment transaction was processed.
Pet Parent Home Location: Filters results based on the pet parent’s assigned home location in their profile.
The location label shown in the report determines how results are calculated.
Allowed Locations Dependency
The locations available in a report’s location selector are determined by the user’s Allowed Locations. Users cannot view or report on locations they are not explicitly allowed to access.
If a location does not appear as an option in a report, verify the user’s Allowed Locations configuration.

Why Do My Results Look Lower Than Expected?
Reports in Gingr do not default to All Locations. Results reflect only the locations you explicitly select and are further limited to the locations included in your Allowed Locations. This ensures more accurate, location-specific reporting, consistent behavior across Gingr, and alignment with user access permissions. If your results appear lower than expected, review which locations are selected in the report and confirm which locations you are allowed to access.
