Introduction

This guide will help you better understand the function of each tool available within the Toolbox built into Gingr's various forms, such as the Animal and Owner Forms, Reservation Forms, Lead Forms, and the Report Card Form. These versatile tools can be freely added and customized to the various forms within Gingr. Below is an image of what the toolbox will appear as on your forms in Gingr.

Reference:  Not all fields are available on all forms.

Field Guide (A-Z)

Field Name Description Helpful Hints
Address (Autocomplete) Provides a field to input a street address.  
Animal Collar / Label Length Provides a field to record the collar length for the printable collar.  For more information, please see our article PetDetect Label System.
Camera Provides a field to upload an image.  
Checkboxes Allows business to provide a question with the ability to select multiple answers.  
Credit Card Provides a field to save tokenized credit card data. Requires integrated credit card processing. For more information, please see our article Get Started with Credit Card Processing.
Custom Animal Icons Allows the business to add Custom Animal Icons. Animal Icons are business facing only.  For more information, please see our article Set Up Custom Animal Icon.
Custom Owner Icons Allows the business to add Custom Owner Icons. Animal Icons are business facing only.   
Date Provides a field to select a date.  
Dropdown Allows you to create a condensed view of a longer list of options to select from. Only one choice can be selected.   
Email Provides a field to input an email address.  
Feeding Schedule Provides a field to include feeding instructions that connect to the Feeding Report. For more information, please see our article Set Up Feeding Schedules.
File Attachment Allows the business to attach a file viewable by the customer. Will display as a clickable link to download.  Requires a link to the file either hosted in Gingr or a third party cloud drive (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc). 
Files Provides a field to upload files that can be tagged to display in various areas of the app. To have uploaded files automatically display on the Owner Profile to view/download, see "Owner Files" below.
First Name Primary owner first name on the Owner Form System Field; Cannot Remove
Header Text Provides a header / title text to optionally organize sections of your form.  
Hidden Input Used to automatically email the completed form to specified email addresses. Additional Setup Required in the field settings. Generally used for Lead Forms.
Home Location For apps with multiple locations, you can select which should be the home location for an owner. When using the Customer Portal, it will default to their home location when creating a new reservation request. System Field; Cannot Remove
How Did You Hear About Us? Displays a drop down list of customer referral sources. This field should not be removed from the owner form, but can be hidden if desired. System Field. For information on how to customize dropdown options, see our article Manage Customer Referral Sources.
Integer Provides a field to enter only a numerical integer.  
Last Name Primary owner last name on Owner Form System Field; Cannot Remove
Legal Agreements Provides the ability to sign legal agreements during registration.  For more information, please see our article Customer Agreements.
Line Break Provides a dividing line between fields.  
Medication Schedule Provides a field to include medication instructions that connect to the Medication Report.  For more information, please see Medication Settings.
Multi-Line Input Provides a multiple line text field to be filled out.  
Multiple Choice Allows the business to provide a Multiple Choice question where only one answer can be selected.  
Owner Files Allows the ability to upload files, such as vet records, that are easily accessible from the owner profile in the Files section.  
Paragraph Allows business to add a block of text to display.   
Password Provides a field to edit the Password used for login.  Recommended to be set to "Customers Only". System Field; Cannot Remove
Range Provides a field to add a rating between one number and another.  
Signature Provides a field for the customer to e-sign.  
Species Provides a field to enter a pet’s species with a list connected to Admin » Species.   
Tags Allows you to add a dropdown menu of options where one option can be selected. Generally used for Report Cards.
Telephone Provides a field to input in phone number format.  
Temperament Provides a field to track animal temperament. For more information, please see our article Temperament Types.
Text Input Provides a single line input text field to be filled out.  
True / False Allows business to provide a yes / no style question.  
Vet Info Provides a fields to add the veterinarian contact information. For more information, please see our article Veterinarian List.
Website Allows the business to provide a link to a URL.
