The Card Account Updater (CAU) service is a new offering from CardConnect, where out-of-date debit/credit card information (card number, expiration date, etc.) is updated to avoid recurring payment interruptions by reducing the frequency of declines. Updates are done behind the scenes with no customer intervention.
Before You Begin
- CardPointe is a CardConnect platform, and these names are often used interchangeably.
- You will need to have a merchant ID before you will be able to access the portal. The first time you log in, you will need to register for an account.

If you have forgotten your password, you can follow the 'Forgot Password?' link on the login page. If you have forgotten your username you will need to contact CardConnect over the phone at (877) 828-0720.

Sign Up for Card Account Updater with an Existing Account
- Navigate to the Build Agreements' button in the Account Details.
- Download the paper Account Updater Agreement.
- Send the paper Account Updater Agreement to the merchant to sign.
- Attach the agreement to the Account Updater Add-On by clicking the edit button.
Sign Up for Card Account Updater with a New Account
Merchants will have the opportunity to sign the account updater agreement during the initial application process.
