Manage Customer Referral Sources (How-To)

All Gingr apps come pre-loaded with the "How Did You Hear About Us?" Referral Sources dropdown field on the owner form. This is a system field that ties back to the Customer Sources Report. Commonly used options have been set up for you, but these options can be edited and customized.

Before You Begin

Only users with Admin permissions will have access to manage Referral Sources. 

Navigate to Admin » Referral Sources. From here, you can add, edit, enable/disable, and delete referral sources.

Add Referral Sources

To add referral sources, select the blue +Add button on the top right.

Enter the name of this referral source. This will display as an option on the owner registration form. To create additional referral sources, select Save And Add Another. If you're finished adding sources, you can just select Save.

 

Edit Existing Referral Sources

To edit an existing referral source, select the pencil icon next to the item.

Important:  Any edits made to an entry will update any owner profile with this option already selected. 

 

Disable / Enable Referral Sources

To disable an active referral source or enable an inactive referral source, use the Status toggle. This can be done from the list or by selecting the pencil icon to edit.

Important:  Disabled sources will be hidden on an owner profile and will not be visible in the dropdown. 

 

Delete Referral Sources

To delete a referral source completely, select the checkbox under the Actions column beside the source you wish to delete. Once at least one checkbox has been selected, a red "Delete (x) Item(s)" button will display. Select the Delete button to fully remove this referral source.

Important:  Please note that if a Referral Source is deleted, it will be removed from all Owner Profiles that have selected it and cannot be recovered.
