Medication types are types of medication that you administer and want to track separately. Examples of medication types might be Insulin, Frontline, Benadryl, etc.

Set Up Medication Types

1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Medication.
   
   
2. Add or Edit medication types and configure the following fields:
   
   
   • Code: create a shortcode for the medication type you are creating
     
     
   • Name: Name your medication type (e.g. “Insulin”)
     
     
   • Charge for Administration: Set to yes if you want to automatically charge when this medication type is administered to an animal.
     
     
3. Save your changes and go back one page.
   
   
4. Repeat creating medication types for as many medication types as you need to track.
