If you charge for medication while a dog is staying at your facility, then Gingr can automatically apply these charges to a reservation when you mark the pet’s medication as administered in the integrated medication report.
To automate medication charges, we will create medication types, medication report statuses, and pricing rules to tell Gingr what kind of medication should be charged and what statuses should be charged (e.g. marking a medication as “administered” versus “N/A”).
Before You Begin
- Before you get started, it is important to stop and understand how you charge for medication (if at all). Do you charge differently depending on what medication the animal was given? Do you charge different costs depending on the type of medication that was administered? Do you charge per administration or per day? Do you charge for certain types of medication?
- Gingr can automate single rate medication charges. If you charge different costs, then please reach out to your onboarding specialist to discuss the best way to integrate your medication charges in Gingr.
- For these charges to appear at checkout, the Medication Report must be completed for the pet's stay. For more information, see Medication Report.
Important: You must have all medication sections (schedule, type, units, quantities, and status) filled out on a pet's profile in order for charges to incur. Any statuses entered before these fields are completed will need to be re-selected for charges to update. (For example, if a status is entered while no medication quantity is set, you must first set the quantity and then reselect the statuses for those administrations to charge.)
