Implement a discount or surcharge if an animal is within a specified age range. This value rounds up when the date passes the mid-day of the month.

Create Pricing Rules by Animal Age in Months

1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Pricing Rules.
   
   
2. Select the Location.
   
   
3. Select the Reservation Type that you want this rule to apply to.
   
   
4. Create a new pricing rule group to tell the system when you would like pricing to take effect. Alternatively, select an existing pricing rule group.
   
   
5. Click Add Rule to create a new charge/discount.
   
   
6. Select the Animal Age (Months) rule type.
   
   
7. Enter a label for how you would like the rule to be shown on estimates or invoices. 
   
   
8. The age in which you would like the pricing rule to begin applying should be expressed in the value field in months. 
   
   
9. Enter in the amount you would like to surcharge or discount.
   
   
10. Select the the method (dollar or percent).

Example

Let's say that you charge more for puppies, between 0 and 6 months. In Gingr, you will want to create two pricing rules so as to create a range.

• First Rule - is where the charge/discount starts. 
  
  
• Second Rule -  is where the charge/discount ends. Note that the charge/discount will be ending here so leave the Amount as 0.
