Before You Begin

You should have already:

• Set Up Feeding Types
• Set Up Feeding Report Statuses

Set Up Automated Feeding Charge Pricing Rules

1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Pricing Rules.
   
   
2. Choose your location.
   
   
3. Select the boarding reservation type.
   
   
4. Add a pricing rule.
   
   
5. Configure the rule with the following information:
   
   • Label: Name the pricing rule as you want it to appear on estimates, the shopping cart, and receipts (e.g. “Feeding Charge”)
     
     
   • Type: choose one of the following pricing rule types depending on your business practice for feeding charges.
     
     
   • Feeding (daily charge): Choose this if you charge once per day for feeding an animal.
     
     
   • Feeding (per administration): Choose this if you charge once per meal.
     
     
   • Method: Choose dollar.
     
     
   • Amount: Enter the amount that you want to charge per day or per meal (depending on the type that you just set).
     
     
6. Save your pricing rule.
   
   
7. Repeat creating these rules for other boarding reservation types where you charge for feeding.

Important:  Feeding Charges will show on estimates where an animal has feeding instructions filled out on their animal profile, but for the charges to apply in the cart at checkout, the Feeding Report must be completed.
