Clear Test Data (How-To)

During the setup process, we encourage you to test your app by creating test owners, pets, reservations, and appointments. Before you start using Gingr for live business, you can clear out this test data so that it does not affect future reports.

Before You Begin

Warning: Do not clear test data if you have already started processing live transactions in your app or if you have already done your Data Import. Clearing Test Data is irreversible and permanent. If you are unsure about how this will affect your app, please contact support with questions.

  • If you are doing a data import, we will take care of this step for you! 

 

Clear Test Data

  1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Manage Data » Clear Test Data.
     
  2. You will be presented with 2 options for clearing test data, select the appropriate one.

    • Delete Reservations and Transactions: Clicking this button will wipe out ALL reservations and transactions in our app. It will NOT wipe out test owners and animals that you may have set up to test with. You should select this option if you'd like to leave your test owners and pets in your app for troubleshooting later.

    • Delete Reservations, Transactions, Animals & Owners: Clicking this button will wipe out ALL reservations, transactions, owners, and animals.
