Use Company Files (How-To)

Utilize Company Files to easily import your current documents into Gingr, ensuring quick access to them. Similar to Google Drive and Dropbox, Company Files lets you store and share files within your team. You can includes employee policies, handbooks, emergency plans, and more making them readily available whenever needed. 

 

Before You Begin

It's important to note that all users have automatic access to the Company Files page, with no additional permissions required. Any files uploaded to this page will be visible and accessible to all users within your app, allowing them to view and download the content freely.

Caution:  All users can manage files, such as uploading and deleting them. It's important to back up files outside of Gingr as an additional precaution.

Tip:  Only the following file types are supported for uploading into Gingr: jpg, jpeg, png, pdf, doc, docx, xlsx, csv, heic, bmp, and gif

 

Add Company Files

  1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Reports & More » Company Files.

  2. Click directly into the "Drop files here to upload" uploader section to open a list of files from your computer, or simply drag and drop the file into the box.

  3. Once successfully uploaded, the file(s) will appear with a green checkmark on it.

  4. Refresh the page to see your file listed in the Files section.Adding Company Files

 

Remove Company Files

  1. To delete a Company File, select the checkbox next to the desired file(s) under the actions column, then select the red delete button.File upload interface with document list.

 

Use Company Files

  1. Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Reports & More » Company Files.

  2. Use the dropdown menu to decide next steps:

    • Edit: Change the name of the file or add a description

    • Public Download: Use this to attach to marketing emails or publicly share

    • Employee Download: Use this when an employee needs to download a file

Tip:  To retrieve the correct link for the Public Download versus the Employee Download, right-click on the desired option and select, "Copy Link Address." If the Public Download option is selected, this link will allow viewing for anyone with the link. If the Employee Download option is selected, the link will only allow viewing once the employee has logged into the Gingr app.
