When a pet is required to complete an evaluation before booking services, Gingr automatically enforces these requirements in the Customer Portal. Pet parents will see badges on their pets and will be redirected into an evaluation booking if needed.
Before You Begin
Evaluations must be set up by the facility before they can be booked.
The Evaluation category is only visible in the Customer Portal if an evaluation reservation type exists and is enabled.
Pets who have already passed all required evaluations will not see the Evaluation category.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1) Log in and Select a Pet
Log into the Customer Portal. From the homepage, view your pet cards.
Pets who need evaluations will show the Evaluation icon and a “Requires Evaluation” badge.
Pets who have passed all required evaluations will show the green passed icon and will not display the Evaluation category when booking.
2) Begin the Booking Process
Select the Book Clock Icon from the homepage or select the pet you wish to book and then click the blue 'Book' button.
On the Booking Category screen, you will see all available categories.
Categories that require an evaluation will display the “Requires Evaluation” badge.
Categories for which the pet has already passed will appear normally (e.g., Boarding, Daycare).
3) Redirect to the Evaluation Category
If a pet has not yet passed the required evaluation for a chosen category (for example, Daycare), the system will automatically:
Redirect the booking to the Evaluation category,
Ensure the correct evaluation type (e.g., Daycare Evaluation) is selected.
4) Complete the Evaluation Booking
Choose the dates for the evaluation.
If applicable, select a specialist.
The specialist list will auto-expand if there is only one option.
If no services are available for this evaluation type, the system will skip directly to the review step.
Confirm the details and submit the reservation request.
