System-wide settings with toggles apply across all locations and affect how memberships function. These settings are found in two different areas of the Admin section of your app: Manage Memberships and Portal Customization.
1. Manage Memberships
These settings apply to how benefits are calculated and applied system-wide:
Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin > Manage Memberships. These system-wide settings will apply to all locations in the app.
| Setting | Description | Helpful Hint |
| Allow Membership Credit Benefits on Any Reservation Type | Enables membership credit benefits to be applied to all reservation types, regardless of category. | Turn this on if you want flexible application of membership credits across different reservation types. |
| Allow Membership Benefits to Discount Final Rate Modifiers | Permits membership benefits to apply discounts to final rates that include additional modifiers. |
Enable this if membership benefits need to affect pricing after modifiers such as taxes or surcharges are added. |
2. Portal Customization
Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Admin > Portal Customization. This setting controls whether memberships can be purchased by pet parents online:

| Allow Membership Purchases from the Portal? | Enables or disables membership sales through the Customer Portal and Gingr for Pet Parents app. | Turn this on if you want pet parents to see the Shop Memberships tile in the portal and self-enroll in memberships. |
