Each step of setting up a membership has multiple setting options to be configured.

Setting Description Helpful Hint
Status Toggle on or off to manage the ability to sell new memberships of this type.  When disabled, existing memberships will continue to renew, but new memberships cannot be sold.
Enabled On Pet Parent Portal Toggle on or off to manage pet parents' ability to purchase new memberships through the customer portal.  This feature is not included in the initial release and will be developed at a later date. 
Membership Name This is the name the system will use to identify the field. Example: Daycare Full Day | Unlimited
Select Locations Select the location(s) this membership is available to be purchased from.   
Redeem Only at Purchase Location Toggle on or off to manage whether membership benefits can be applied across multiple locations under the same URL.   
Description Optionally include a description of this membership and it's benefits.

Setting Description Helpful Hint
Renewal Cycle Select the cadence of your membership.  Choose between Weekly, Monthly, and Annual renewal.
Billing Schedule Select the renewal schedule for your membership.

Weekly options: Day of Week OR Date of Sale
Monthly options: Day of Month (1st or 15th) OR Date of Sale

Annual options: Day of Year (January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, or October 1st) OR Date of Sale
Benefits Expire Choose if benefits should expire on renewal or after a number of days.  

 

Member Pricing Benefits

Setting Description Helpful Hint
Benefit Name Name your pricing benefit.  
Discount Amount Set the discount amount. Choose from a percentage or set dollar amount. 
# of uses per cycle This setting defaults to unlimited uses. Select the box to customize this to a set number.
Benefit Description This short description will be displayed to customers and staff when enrolling in a membership.  
Enable Special Pricing on Reservation Types Toggle this on to apply these benefits to specific reservations. When this setting is enabled, it defaults to apply to all existing reservation types. Select the dropdown to customize. 
Enable Special Pricing on Add-on Service Types Toggle this on to apply these benefits to specific add-on services. When this setting is enabled, it defaults to apply to all existing add-on service types. Select the dropdown to customize. 
Enable Special Pricing on Package Types Toggle this on to apply these benefits to specific package types.  When this setting is enabled, it defaults to apply to all existing package types. Select the dropdown to customize. 
Enable Special Pricing on Retail Items Toggle this on to apply these benefits to specific retail items. When this setting is enabled, it defaults to apply to all existing retail items. Select the dropdown to customize. 
Enable Special Pricing on Open Line Items Toggle this on to apply these benefits to specific open line items.  When this setting is enabled, it defaults to apply to all existing open line item types. Select the dropdown to customize. 

 

 Notice:  If the benefits of an existing Membership should apply to any newly created Reservation types, Add-On Service types, Packages, Retail Items, or Open Line Items, the Membership settings will need to be updated to include them.

Select Reservation Type

 Select a reservation type from the drop-down to create a reservation credit benefit.  
# of Credits Per Cycle This setting defaults to unlimited uses. Select the box to customize this to a set number.

Setting Description Helpful Hint
Is this membership taxed? Toggle this setting on or off to apply tax to this membership. For more information on Tax settings in Gingr, go here: Tax Settings (Topic Outline)
Account Code Assign an existing Account Code to this membership.  For more information on account codes, go here: Set Up Revenue Report Account Codes (How-To)
Use Pricing Rules on Other Reservation Types When a credit for this membership is applied to a different type of reservation, then the package credit value will respect the configured reservation type’s pricing rules instead of the reservation type the credit is being applied to.  

 

Rates

Setting Description Helpful Hint
For Locations Select the location this rate should apply to. If a membership is able to be purchased at multiple locations, you have the ability to set up different rates at each location if necessary. 
Base Rate Of Input a dollar amount.  
For Memberships Charged on or after. This setting is not able to be customized.
Date Select the date for this rate to take effect.  
Actions If multiple rates have been configured, you will have the option to delete any additional rate using the trash can icon.
