Membership Notification Settings (How-To)

Article Details

Automatic email communications are sent to pet parents based on membership-related events, and internal notifications are triggered for staff members.

Important: The system processes membership renewals once per day to prevent multiple messages from being sent.

Notification Center (Staff Notifications)

Staff members will receive internal notifications for:

  • Failed Payment – Triggered when a membership payment attempt is unsuccessful.

Important: The Membership Failed Payment notification is only sent to users in a group with the notification enabled.

Step 2: Identify User Groups

  • Within the Notification Center, identify the user group(s) who should receive membership notifications (e.g., staff members who need to be alerted for failed payments or renewal reminders).

Step 3: Enable Membership Notifications

  • In the Memberships & Subscriptions section, find the group you want to modify (e.g., “Admin Team,” “Customer Support,” etc.).
  • Look for the group and check the boxes to enable them:

  • Changes are saved automatically.

Step 4: Confirm Notifications

  • After enabling the notifications, verify the selected group has the appropriate permission to receive notification alerts.

Step 5: Test Notification Delivery (Optional)

  • To confirm notifications are working as expected, consider testing by processing a membership payment with a declined card (or by manually triggering a failed payment event).
  • Check the relevant staff inboxes to ensure they receive the notification correctly.
