If a reservation has not been checked in, it can be cancelled within Gingr. For your convenience, there are several places within the app where you can cancel an upcoming reservation or appointment.
If there are deposits attached to any reservation, they will need to be forfeited or refunded.
Before You Begin
- You can run a report based on cancellation reasons by navigating to Left-hand Navigation: Reports & More » Reports » Cancellations.
- You can edit the cancellation reasons on this list by navigating to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » Cancellation Reasons.
Cancel from the Expected Section
If a pet was expected to arrive today, but called to cancel - you can cancel a reservation or appointment from the Expected section.
- Navigate to the Expected Section.
- Select the X button in the Actions column. A window will pop up with a list of cancellation reasons to choose from.
- Select the appropriate cancellation reason.
- Select Cancel with Reason.
- Alternatively, you can select Cancel with No Reason.
Cancel from the Owner or Animal Profile
- Navigate to the Owner or Animal Profile.
- Select the Reservations tab.
- Select the Actions Dropdown Menu next to the reservation or appointment that you would like to cancel.
- Select Cancel Booking. A window will pop up with a list of cancellation reasons to choose from.
- Select the appropriate cancellation reason.
- Select Cancel with Reason.

Alternatively, you can select Cancel with No Reason.
Cancel from the Facility Calendar
Navigate to Left-hand Navigation: Calendar » Facility Calendar.
Cancel From the Week or Month View
- From the Week or Month view, locate the date of the reservation that you would like to cancel. This will show a view of all reservations for that day.
- Find the reservation that you would like to cancel.
Tip: You can use the search bar to filter by reservation type, pet, or owner.
- Select the Actions Dropdown Menu next to the reservation or appointment that you would like to cancel.
- Select Cancel Booking. A window will pop up with a list of cancellation reasons to choose from.
- Select the appropriate cancellation reason.
- Select Cancel with Reason.

Cancel From the Day View
- Select the service to cancel directly.
- Select Details. The appointment details will pop up.
- Scroll to the bottom of the details pop-up.
- Select Cancel Appointment. A window will pop up with a list of cancellation reasons to choose from.
- Select the appropriate cancellation reason.
- Select Cancel with Reason.
