Membership Payment Methods & Billing (Reference)

Article Details

The Memberships feature in Gingr provides businesses with flexible, recurring benefits they can offer to their customers. In this article, we will cover how to handle payment methods when enrolling, as well as how to view the billing details after enrollment.

Payment Methods for Memberships:

Integrated Payment Methods:

    • Memberships require an integrated payment processor such as Gingr Payments or CardConnect to handle transactions.
    • Membership payments, including renewals, will automatically use the primary card on file for the pet parent.
    • If a pet parent's primary card on file does not match the business' integrated payment processor, they will be prompted to update their payment method.

$0.00 Memberships:

      • For businesses not using integrated payments, $0.00 memberships allow you to configure and grant benefits without requiring payment processing.
      • These memberships enable flexible management of pet parent benefits while handling any external billing manually.

Adding or Updating Payment Methods:

    • Pet parents with one or more cards on file can select their preferred card during enrollment.
    • If a card other than the primary card is selected, it will be updated as the primary card for all future renewals.
    • Pet parents or staff can add or update payment methods directly from the Owner Profile.

Viewing Billing Details:

  • To view the next billing date, navigate to the Owner Profile > Memberships and view the next date the membership will auto-renew under Next Renewal.

  • To view the billing details, select the blue icon 'i' beside the membership you wish to view more in depth, then scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window. From here you can view the amount the membership was purchased for, the renewal period, the payment method used, and when the benefits will expire.
