Set Up & Customize Membership-Related System Emails (How-To)

In Gingr, pet parents receive automatic email communications based on specific membership events, such as enrollment, payments, and renewal reminders. Businesses can also customize the system email templates for these events to ensure they align with their brand and communication style.

Follow the steps below to set up and customize membership-related system emails in Gingr.

 

Set Up & Customize Membership-Related Emails

These templates can be customized by navigating to Left-hand Navigation: Admin » System Email.

Access the Relevant Email Templates

The following membership-related email templates are available for customization:

  • Membership Enrollment: Sent to pet parents upon successful membership enrollment.

  • Membership Purchase Receipt: Sent when a payment is processed successfully for a membership.

  • Membership Failed Payment: Sent when a payment attempt for a membership fails.

  • Membership Renewal Reminder:

    To ensure payment processing compliance, this setting cannot be disabled. It will only send out for annual renewals.  Screenshot 2025-02-07 at 6.42.32 PM.png

Customize the Email Templates

  1. Select the Email Template you want to customize from the list in the System Email section.

  2. The template editor will open, allowing you to modify the content of the email.
    • You can customize the subject line and content.

    • Use variables to insert dynamic content, such as the pet parent’s name or membership details. These fields will automatically populate based on the template. The available variables for the selected email template are displayed at the top (other variables will not work):

  3. Review your changes and make sure the template reflects your business tone and any specific information you want to include. 
  4. Be sure to save your changes by clicking the blue Save button after editing.

Step 4: Test the Email Notifications (Optional) 

You can test your custom emails by triggering specific events that will send the emails, such as:

  • Completing a test membership enrollment.
  • Simulating a failed payment event.

Step 5: Finalize the Setup

Once you're satisfied with your customizations, ensure that the changes are saved and the templates are activated. Your customized email templates will now be automatically sent for the corresponding membership-related events.
